My Story

I am a recently qualified Five Element Acupuncturist who was first captivated by the Ancient Chinese therapy in 2020. The Taoist teachings, connections between nature and health, promotion of inner-healing and the practice of treating the root of dis-ease fascinated me and I began my journey of studying FEA in 2021. I graduated from the International College of Acupuncture under Michael Baker and Paul Adkins who were both taught by the renowned J. R. Worsley and are both amazing teachers & immensely knowledgable and innovative in the world of Five Element.

What really spoke to me in the Five Element tradition was the notion that there is a root to our ailments and imbalances and rather than constantly suppressing symptoms we can uncover & treat the deeper cause so that symptoms naturally dissipate. Observing and participating in the seasons helps us understand our position in nature and we can gain a new perspective toward ourselves, others and life as we begin to see and appreciate the power and virtues of the world around us. Just as when the strong winds blow and new buds grow in Spring we feel motivated, directed and dynamic.

Balance is at the forefront of all of my treatments as it is through harmony that we can travel along our life’s path enduring the obstacles but also fully immersing ourselves in this wonderful, beautiful experience. Staying inspired, awake and loving in life, for all of its ups and downs, is what I aspire to evoke through my practice of Five Element Acupuncture.
